Axel Timmermann, Director of IBS Center for Climate Physics at Pusan National University, has been selected as one of the 2021 Highly Cited Researchers of Clarivate Analytics.
Dr. Timmermann has been listed on the HCR list, which announces the world’s top 1% researchers with high citations, for the fourth consecutive year from 2018 to this year. Dr. Timmermann was recognized for his outstanding research skills in the field of ‘Environment and Ecology’.
‘Clarivate’ is a global academic web analystics company that selects and announces researchers who have proven their influence in the field based on the citation of the paper. 6,602 researchers from 70 countries with the highest number of citations for the past decade have been selected this year. Out of 55 researchers from Korea, Dr. Timmermann is the Only one researcher who is nominated in Busan.
Dr. Timmermann was also ranked No. 1 on the ‘Reuters hot list: World’s top 1000 climate scientists’ out of all domestic scientists on April 2021.
